Adding fractions with unlike denomintors

When you add fractions with unlike denominators the first thing you do is find a common multiple for both fraction denominators. When you have found it, the next thing you do is find out what number you multiplied to get the common multiple for both fractions. After you've found that you multiply the numerator and denominator by that number. Once you've done that you should have both fractions with like denominators. The last step you do is just add the numerators for the equation then you should have the correct answer. Put it in lowest terms if there are any.
